THE NEW NOW AND THE FUTURE AHEAD

I was listening to my iPod while on an exercise bike, and a favorite song popped up from Bob Dylan. The lyrics are really amazing and highlight issues we all face, especially in the sales profession. The recent recession, troubling world events, and the oil leak in the gulf have left many Americans feeling anxious and pessimistic.

Let me share Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young” with you along with a personal comment after each verse.

May God bless and keep you always. May your wishes all come true. May you always do for others And let others do for you……………………………Caring service can pull us out of a funk as we help others.

May you build a ladder to the stars And climb on every rung. May you stay forever young………………………Chase your dreams. Rediscover your inner, optimistic child.

May you grow up to be righteous. May you grow up to be true. May you always know the truth And see the lights surrounding you…………………Stop blaming and take charge of your future.

May you always be courageous Stand upright and be strong. May you stay forever young………………………….Our destiny is never certain, but our ability to shape it is.

May your hands always be busy. May your feet always be swift. May you have a strong foundation When the winds of change shift……………………..The winds of change have buffeted all of us. We must try harder and dig deeper.

May your heart always be joyful And may your song always be sung. May you stay forever young………………………….We have so much to be thankful for! You have a great story to tell. We must find ways to adapt, thrive, and push forward with energy, ingenuity and optimism.

Einstein said, “Out of clutter find simplicity; from discord, find harmony; in the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.”

Open you heart like a child and see the optimistic world right in front of you, and

Stay forever young!
