Four Seasons Resort on the Island of Langkawi, Malaysia.

Swimming pools in exotic locales have always excited me. When I was a little boy there was nothing better than staying at a motel that had a pool! I still have a sense of wonder at swimming pool designs at beautiful hotels. I will share a few of my favorite pools to help you get into the mood for travel.

A dreamy pool villa at the Four Season resort on Koh Samui, Thailand.

The pool at the Anantara Resort on Koh Samui is beautifully designed for spectacular views! We hosted a trip here for Wesco Fabrics customers and friends in 2009.

From the hotel bar overlooking the pool of the Oberoi Hotel in Agra, you can see the visage of the Taj Mahal in the distance.

Bali has a large number of amazing privately owned villas for rent. The cliff top view from Villa Khayangan, in Uluwatu Bali, is spectacular.

We experienced the exotic pool at the Hyatt Hotel during our first trip to Bali in 1995.

We have hosted three tours to Bali over the years. Guests love the “Healing Pool” in addition to their private villa pool at the Royal Pita Maha Resort in Kedewatan, near Ubud! It is very spiritual and relaxing. Would you like to go with us?

A number of fashion and jewelry companies have opened luxury resorts. The chic Bulgari Resort sits high on the cliffs of Uluwatu in Bali.

The recently opened Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore is almost unbelievable!

The swimmer seems suspended in the sky!

The 150 meter swimming pool is on the 57th floor of the exclusive Marina Bay Sands. The hotel has a casino and a luxury shopping complex.

Four Seasons Maui is beautiful at sunset.

The ultra modern Alila Villas Resort just opened in the Uluwatu area of Bali. Their infinity swimming pool sits high up on the cliff with a contemporary cocktail lounge for viewing an amazing Bali sunset.

The pool at the Hayman Island Resort near Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

Villa Cimbrone is located in a very special location in Ravello, on Italy’s famed Amalfi Coast. Marla and I will host a small group of Wesco Fabrics’ customers and friends to Positano and the Amalfi Coast in September 2011and tour the fabled grounds of Villa Cimbrone.
