Do winter blues have you down? Snow and cold have been brutal in many parts of the U.S. For those of us in the design community, there is nothing like beautiful decorative fabrics to energize the spirit. Winter reminds us of shades of blue. These from the Wesco Fabrics Spring 2011 collection just might warm you up.

Two coordinating fabrics are among my favorites. Left to right: Wes River Run Moonstone and Wes Kilowatt Glacier.

Wes Laredo Stripe Denim and Wes Rocky Point Denim, are beautiful, heavy ethnic weaves for upholstery and window coverings.

The colors turquoise & chocolate mix wonderfully with our modern trio. Left, middle, right: Wes Symbolize, Wes Mesmerize, and Wes Full Tilt.

Wes Filigree Aqua, a gorgeous diamond embroidery, is a colored slub textured satin. It coordinates with Wes Ella Aqua. Both patterns are woven on silk looms for an elegant appeal.

Random embroidered swirls on a colored texture create a tasty contemporary design.

Wes Bay Club Porcelain is elegantly embroidered on cotton. This is from our Fall 2010 collection.

One of the biggest hits from last season’s line was Wes Pompano Azure. Everyone loves this suzani inspired design.

I wish you the best this winter. I find that February is a great month for hunkering down with a good read and a cup of hot tea. It is also a good time to plan the year. I hope you have an opportunity to use some of our Wesco Fabrics’ “Winter Blues” on your next design project. Spring is just around the corner. I promise.
