Wesco Fabrics' Client Trip to San Francisco & Yountville

Wesco Fabrics’ client trip to San Francisco & Yountville

Dick & Marla at San Francisco’s Union Square.

We will have two client incentive trips this year. The first was to San Francisco & Yountville in Napa Valley. Even though I was raised in the Bay Area, I am always a tourist when I visit San Francisco! The vibe of the city by the bay is beautiful, diverse, and exciting. The weather was the best I have ever experienced, and we really had a great trip!

Dinner at “Boulevard” was incredible! Steve & Glynda enjoyed the cuisine and the fabulous view of the Bay Bridge.

Janine & Matt loved Boulevard!

Unseasonably warm weather made a double-decker bus tour a must! Marla and I have never taken this bus tour and saw the sights of The City in a new light!

Our tour took us through North Beach, with thousands attending a street Fair. The Vesuvio Café, on the left, was a favorite hangout for the Beat Generation’s Jack Kerouac and Dylan Thomas.

Just past the famous Cliff House is a new trail and overlook. The view of the ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge is wonderful!

On our way to Yountville we stopped for a picnic at Muir Beach Overlook.

This is one of our very favorite places. The clear, warm weather made it very special as it can be foggy this time of the year.

The “Overlook” was used by the military in World War II as an enemy ship observation facility.

Yountville is without question California’s premier wine and foodie mecca! Lisa and Ray loved dinner at Bistro Jeanty!

Janine & Matt sampled the local Yountville area wines.

It’s time for serious wine tasting! Just up Highway 29 from St. Helena is Castello di Amarosa winery. Dario Sattui spent 14 years building this very authentic looking 14th century Tuscan style castle to exacting standards. I’ve heard a figure of 50 million dollars to build! They have over 121,000 square feet and 107 rooms. Their dungeon includes a 300 year old “Iron Maiden.”

Ray is thinking that “The Great Room” will be perfect for his next “intimate” dinner party!

We had a “barrel tasting” of a young cabernet sauvignon on our private tour of the underground cellar. Lisa loved it!

Our Wesco Fabrics’ group ordered cases of wines to ship home after their tastings! Our guide let us sample eight different wines including their special reserves! The winery does not sell in retail stores.

We took early morning walks in beautiful Yountville. One morning we passed Thomas Keller’s Michelin three star restaurant, The French Laundry. Their chef’s tasting menu is priced at $270 per person (before tip/tax) without wine! I wonder if they would let me order off their children’s menu?

We had a truly wonderful Wesco Fabrics’ trip to San Francisco & Yountville and can’t wait to return!

Our next client sales incentive adventure is to Positano on the incredible Amalfi Coast in September. I can’t wait for that trip and to be able to reconnect with new and old guests again!

The Wesco Fabrics’ customer incentive trip for 2011 is BARCELONA! Qualifying customers will join us in this amazing city in September 2012. Buy-ins will be available! Please join us!
