In honor of Valentine’s Day I want to share some of my favorite romantic places. A secluded beach at the Big Island’s Four Seasons Hualalai is a great place to watch the sunset! A bottle of Champagne doesn’t hurt either.
For something different how about a hot air balloon ride over Kenya’s Maasai Mara wildlife preserve? I hate heights but this was amazing. They Serve Champagne when you land.
One of my favorite romantic restaurants is Boulder’s Flagstaff House.
San Francisco’s Acquerello is a perfect place for a quiet dinner and holding hands.
Capri is romance personified!
Chateau De La Chevre D’Or, high up in Eze on the French Riviera, is a wonderful Valentine’s Day destination.
Fattoria La Striscia, in Tuscany’s Arezzo, is delightful!
A beach! Anywhere! One of my favorites is Kapalua Bay on Maui.
The enchanting Adriatic Sea sparkles below the Hotel Bellevue near Dubrovnik.
The Auberge du Pere Bise, in Talloires, on Lac Annecy, is an incredible place to escape!
Albion River Inn on California’s rugged Mendocino Coast has superb seafood and rooms with a view to inspire.
A sunset at La Tagliata in Montepertuso near Positano.
A blissfull warm evening dinner at the incredible “Dining on the Rocks” restaurant, Six Senses Hideaway Resort, Koh Samui.
I absolutely love walking on a quiet path under majestic redwoods.
There is nothing quite like the 63rd floor restaurant & bar at The Dome in the Lebua Hotel Bangkok!
One of the most romantic places on earth is the pool villa at the Royal Pita Maha Resort near Ubud, Bali.
A close second is the Royal Pita Maha’s “Healing Pool” down near the Ayung River.
If you really don’t mind all the Russian oligarchs and celebrities with their bodyguards, then the Hotel Du Cap-Eden Roc on Cap D’Antibes is your place.
A quieter option is to rent an apartment with a great view of the bay in Villefranche sur Mer. Let me know if you want to know more about this place.
And probably the best place for romance is your own dining table dressed up for the occasion with wines ready to pour!
