USA Pro Challenge bike race came to last week! Over 1,000,000 spectators, over $100 million in economic benefit, plus a week of great racing was wonderful for our state! NBC Sports carried the race and it was shown in 200 countries! Colorado Aspen, Breckenridge and ’ fans were out in force as the race came through their towns! Fort Collins

Chris Froome, who won this year’s Tour de France, starts up the 10 mile Vail Time Trial course from town through the steep pitch of
Froome had trouble with the altitude, but BMC Racing’s Tejay van Garderen from Vail Pass. won the stage in a record time. I can’t believe they were averaging over 20+ mpg! I rode it last month and suffered in my lowest gear! Aspen
Mountain stages around the world are known for crazy costumes and a party atmosphere. Vail was no exception as the crazies were out in force!
