Escape Route

We all need a summer break, whether to an exotic isle or a staycation getaway right at home.  Jawaharial Nehru wrote, “We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.”  On a summer break we transform from our fast-paced life and begin experiencing this beautiful world in a fresh, new way.  There are many visual delights on our summer “escape route”, like this close-up image of an orchid.

Try something really off your normal vacation travel grid, like the Hagia Sofia in Istanbul.

Immerse yourself in a crowd and discover something brand new.

Go to a farmer’s market and pick out something different for dinner.

Take a swim.… with or without goggles.

Multi-task in a brand new way. Who says you can’t exercise while shopping?

Explore nature quietly and slowly and you’ll discover a special world right in front of you.

Find a special beach.

Dress up like your favorite animal… just because.

Take a path you have never explored before.

On your summer break give yourself permission to splurge on one grand, over-the-top dinner! During the year you probably will not dine on lobster with gold leaf on a Tuesday night.

There is always a party somewhere. Have some fun!

Go ahead and embrace the scintillating NOW! Breath it in!

Sometimes you must get out of your comfort zone while on vacation. Take the leap as life is an amazing adventure!
