Colorado ski resorts are known around the world for fabulous skiing and this year the snow is amazing! Whether you are a skier, snowboarder, snowshoer, or just love the the crisp winter air, Colorado has it all! I would recommend you do your makeup...BEFORE climbing our mountains, like in this vintage poster!

Vail is the largest ski mountain in Colorado. It was founded in 1962 by Pete Seibert & local rancher Earl Eaton. Seibert served in the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division during WWII at Camp Hale 14 miles south. He was wounded in Italy during the war, but recovered and became a professional ski racer. He envisioned a ski resort at the base of Vail Mountain became a beautiful reality.

Vail is magical at night with visitors strolling by boutiques and enjoying great restaurants.

Lionshead, a short walk west of Vail Village, has been beautifully transformed. The Arrabelle at Vail Square is the luxurious anchor hotel in the area.

Beaver Creek Ski Resort is Vail's neighbor to the west and is a wonderful self-contained resort all by itself. I highly recommend dinner up the mountain at the amazing Beano's Cabin. You bundle up with heavy blankets as the snowcat takes you up to the restaurant.

Aspen & Snowmass Ski Resorts are only a 3 hour & 45 minute drive from Denver. This is a favorite location for visitors who love the skiing and its luxury lifestyle. In the winter the Aspen Airport is packed with private jets. It is a wonderful resort any time of year.

Snowshoeing in Snowmass on a clear Colorado day.

The Steamboat Springs Ski Resort is known for it's "Champagne Powder." Looks great doesn't it?

Breckenridge is famous for world class skiing with an authentic old mining town atmosphere.

The Keystone Ski Resort is one of my favorites and is perfect for families with a diverse choice of runs.
