WESCO FABRICS CELEBRATES 70 YEARS: OUR DENVER SHOWROOM PAST TO PRESENT. 9 of 11 blogs

When we opened our showroom in the Denver Design district it often looked like a museum. Well, a museum which had decorative fabrics, custom window coverings, alternative window coverings, and custom hardware. The image above shows some fabulous 19th century Burmese Buddhas and manuscript chests purchased during our Asian buying trips to Thailand. I wish we had some of these rarities today!

Two postcards from our first few years in the showroom. Everything you see has been sold with many items very difficult or almost impossible to find today.

Advertising postcards showing some of our unique furniture & accessories. Our style was a great mix of beautiful fabrics, custom window coverings, custom furniture, antiques from around the world, as well as modern elements. I loved all our vintage posters!

I created this display many years ago in the showroom. A bit over-the-top but I loved it! "Please pass the Champagne!"

At our Denver showroom's 10th anniversary, Lora Carlile hits the dance floor with Latin moves. Everyone loved the salsa music and Cuban food.

Judi Kovac manages our Wesco Fabrics Denver Design District showroom today. This is our 25th year in the center.

We carry a stylish and eclectic mix of decorative fabrics, custom window coverings, custom hardware, Hunter Douglas, custom furniture, and exciting furniture & accessories we directly import. We also have assorted crystal specimens and lamps.

I'm doing a fabric presentation for area interior designers.

Ray Decker drops by the showroom to meet one of his clients.

Love this C.R. Laine sofa!

Cynthia, Judi, and our Bradington Young salesperson, go over new furniture designs.

Our daughter Stacy and her sister Lisa brought the girls to the showroom. I think everything was nailed down! We should have had a sign saying, "Twins on the loose!" Stacy came into Denver to showcase her jewelry line, Lauren Kate Design.

Beautiful setting with great blue accents!

Gorgeous Wesco Fabrics artisan made custom window coverings, C.R. Laine sofa, Bradington Young leather chair, and Wesco Fabrics petrified wood tables which we import directly.

Great room setting!

Modern style dining table and Mid-Century modern style chairs.

Designers gather in our showroom for a Paris Texas custom hardware presentation last year.
