Marla and I attended our first TEDx conference this month. Over the years we experienced Ted Talks on TV and radio so we were totally fired up to attend in person! By the end of the day, my brain was close to exploding with new and transformative ideas about the world close at hand and far away. In a word,...WONDEROUS.

There was an amazing buzz created by the diverse array of speakers, poets, musical groups, dancers, and incredible videos. I loved Joan C. Williams talk about White Working Class: Overcoming Class Cluelessness In America, a subject many liberals are clueless about. There were presentations on leadership, space exploration, climate change, social justice, and urban futurism.
"Wonder is that place where we re-engage our senses, let our minds run wild, and step back into the youthful space of our lives."

The "Before I Die" chalkboard was the place to write personal and inspiring messages. I wrote, "Discover my NEXT."

After an intense morning session of diverse talks, we adjourned for lunch with speaker Q & A's during the lunch break.

Marla had many favorites with Tamika D. Mallory, a co-chair of the Women's March on Washington, at the top of the inspiration list.

The "Before I Die" board was about filled up with ideas and comments. After the event more attendees squeezed in their thoughts.

I hope you will have the opportunity to attend a TEDx conference in your area.

"Now, with all the competing interests for our time, there is hardly an opportunity to be creative unless we make space for just that. Creativity requires a mental and emotional state of flow - the space and time to think, to ponder, to dream."
